How It Works

  1. Step 1

    1. Initial Consultation

    This is a non-committal meeting with a potential client where we establish a clear understanding of their business, the sector, the key issues and objectives. We also discuss the communication tools & initiatives available to us to achieve set goals over a given time.

    From our initial analysis of and meeting with the client we gain a good understanding of the core competencies of the business and how best to communicate these to the key audiences.

    This is only the first step in the process and an initial overview if both parties feel that it would be beneficial to work together further meetings will be arranged which will give us an even better insight. While we appreciate the pressure of time. a client’s input will be invaluable in delivering an excellent public relation strategy.

  2. Step 2

    2. FINALISE PR PLAN & TIMELINE

    After the initial meeting we develop a PR Plan for the client which will outline our proposed activities over a set time period e.g. 3-6 months. We will then present this to the client and work with the client on any changes or additions that they feel necessary until we have come up with a plan that is both agreeable and achievable for both parties.

    In addition to the provision of top-level general communications advice to our clients, Business Talk will have a number of key responsibilities/activities. Having agreed a PR strategy and a number of core messages, we will set out a plan to successfully communicate these messages to the agreed target audiences. We will assume a pro-active role, working closely with the client to ensure that they have a regular and active positive media presence.

    We will interact with national business & personal finance journalists on a weekly/monthly basis on behalf of the client. The purpose of this is to identify opportunities which will demonstrate the client’s expertise and capabilities.

    We will also assist client representatives in building solid interdependent relations with these journalists thus creating a positive view of the client and ensuring that the client is called upon for expert advice and comment when covering related topics.

    In addition, Business Talk will advise and assist clients in relation to internally generated messages and data. We will take the basic information and add the “sparkle” it needs to meet the journalists “interesting” criteria.

    Business Talk will also drive the brain-storming and idea generating sessions with clients.

  3. Step 3

    3. PLAN EXECUTION

    Business Talk will then have responsibly for the execution of the agreed PR initiatives subject to sign off control with always rests with the client.

  4. Step 4

    4. PROGRESS REPORT & IDEA GENERATION

    Regular weekly or bi-weekly meeting are set with a client to review current and past initiativies and assess the success. The objective of these meetings is to ascertain which initiatives generated the most positive feedback or outcome for the client. These meetings are also used to generate ideas and refocus communications efforts on topics/ areas that are particularly important to a client at a given time.
