Irish Independent: 1,600 firms that used pandemic subsidy face checks by Revenue
0Revenue is subjecting 1,600 businesses to detailed reviews as part of a compliance sweep on employers who used the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme (TWSS) between March and August.
“We thought we’d see more take-up,” said Marian Ryan, consumer tax manager with Taxback.com
“At the time these schemes were introduced, everybody applied for every one going. Now that people are back up and running, they don’t want to be pushing up their tax bills for the future.”
